How to clear cache and cookies

Some sites contain cookies that interfere with ad blocking, and your cache may have data that contributes to the appearance of ads. This is often the reason why clearing your browser's cache and cookies is among our first set of suggested troubleshooting steps.

Chrome

 
  1. Click the Chrome Menu, in the upper right-hand corner of your browser.
  2. Click Delete Browsing Data.
  3. Select the time frame and which data you want to clear, then click Delete data.

Firefox

 
  1. Click the Firefox Menu in the upper right-hand corner of the browser.
  2. Click History, then click Clear Recent History.
  3. Select the time frame and which data you want to clear, then click Clear Now.

Edge

 
  1. Click the Edge Menu in the upper right-hand corner of the browser, then select Settings.
  2. Click Privacy, Search, and Services.
  3. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose What to Clear.
  4. Select the time frame and which data you want to clear then click Clear Now.

Opera

 
  1. On the Opera menu, click Settings.
  2. Under Privacy and Security, select Clear Browsing Data.
  3. Select the time frame and which data you want to clear, then click Clear data.

Samsung Internet

 
  1. On your Samsung Internet Browser app, tap on the browser menu, located on the lower-right part of your screen.
  2. Tap History.
  3. Tap on the three dots, then select Clear History.

Safari

 

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

    1. Open Settings. Scroll down and tap Safari.
    2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.

Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.

macOS

  1. In the Safari app on your Mac, click History.
  2. Click Clear History. 
  3. Choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared, then click Clear History.
