If you have Adblock Plus and an ad still sneaks through, first check your settings: What to do if you are seeing ads
If the settings are correct but pesky ads are still appearing, you can manually remove it with the Block Element feature. And it’s not just ads — you can also block images, fonts, scripts, comment sections, and more by following the steps below according to your browser.
1. From the Adblock Plus toolbar icon
- Open the webpage with the element you want to block.
- From the Chrome toolbar, click the Adblock Plus icon and select Block element.
- Hover your mouse over the element you want to block.
The element area turns red. - Click the element.
- The Block element window opens.
Here you can Preview blocking the selected element, or you can Unselect and choose a different element. To exit the window, select Cancel. - To block the element, select Block.
The element is now blocked.
2. From the right-click context menu
